The Townsville Thread is the first project of its kind in Australia. It aims to uncover the “invisible threads” that connect Townsville to the rest of the world.We envision 12 Golden Threads; 12 unique stories of entrepreneurs and visionaries who began their journeys in different corners of the world and ultimately chose Townsville as their home.

This project serves as a strategic catalyst, connecting Townsville’s enterprise sector with the arts. By integrating traditional portraiture with ethical AI workflows and Augmented Reality (WebAR), we transform static images into "living" archives. Viewers do not merely observe a portrait; they interact with a story. 

This digital-physical hybrid approach turns our city into a landscape of immersive storytelling, showcasing Townsville as a premier hub for innovation, global connection, and artistic excellence.
